Since graduating from BHS, I have graduated from Alabama College (1968), married (31 years in a row), and have two boys. My husband, Dexter, is from Sylacauga. I met him when I was teaching there at B. B. Comer High School. Our oldest son, Scottie, is 18 and a freshman at Birmingham-Southern College. Andy is 16 and a sophomore at Pleasant Grove High School.

I taught school for 5 years, worked at 1st National Bank for 2 plus years and have been employed at The Bessemer Housing Authority for the last 26 years.

My family and I attend the Pleasant Grove Church of God. I keep the nursery during Sunday School so that I can help to spoil our babies. I also play the piano for the church services. My youngest son is our drummer. My husband and oldest son sing in the choir.
