| SIMMONS,
CHARLOTTE CHILDRESS, of Hoover, passed away on Saturday, June
24, 2006, at home after a long illness, at the age of 63. She
was a graduate of Bessemer High School and received her
undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, where she
was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Charlotte received
her Master's Degree at the University of Alabama in
Birmingham. She is survived by her husband, James "Will"
Simmons; a son Brent McKinney (Tracy), of Dallas, TX; a
daughter, Jill Sentz (Shane), of San Francisco, CA; two
sisters, Vicki Little and Sherry Sampson (Robert); a stepson,
Kris Simmons; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Shelby McKinney;
a step-grandson, Tyler Simmons; and her "grand-dogs" Dignan
and Lloyd. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June
28, 2006, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson
Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, with a memorial service to
follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. As Charlotte
and her family are animal lovers, the family requests in lieu
