: Planning is ongoing for our 50th reunion. Howell, Hopkins, Jager, Crouch, Adams, McCullom and others have had several meetings. Hopkins and Crouch are keeping me posted here in California. August 16 and 17 are the scheduled dates. The first letter with details has been mailed to known addresses of January and May '52 classmates. Things are shaping up nicely. A picnic at Tannehill State Park(?) and tours of the old high school and the Bessemer History Museum are planned for the first day. A cocktail hour and dinner at the Perimeter Park Sheridan Hotel in Birmingham are scheduled for the second day. A block of 10 rooms at a very attractive price has been set aside for out-of-towners.
